You receive a phone call or voicemail from someone claiming to be Apple Support saying your iCloud has been breached, your Apple ID is at risk, or suspicious activity has been detected. They ask you to verify your identity, provide your Apple ID password, or give them remote access to your device.

Apple has stated that it does not make unsolicited phone calls to customers about security issues. Legitimate Apple support only contacts you if you have initiated a support request. The caller ID may even show "Apple" due to caller ID spoofing, making it appear genuine.
